“For the past six years we have been delighted to have NEW Sinfonia as our resident orchestra. They are a vibrant, enthusiastic and inspiring group of players who play with a quality and depth of maturity which has seen them develop a very significant and appreciative following. Working jointly with them has given us tremendous scope for developing concerts and education projects.”

Ann Atkinson - Artistic Director

Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM)

NEW Sinfonia have been brilliant at identifying the need for high quality professional music-making in North Wales. Their strong connections with the RNCM in general, and the Conducting Department in particular, have also led to some fantastic collaborations between us. These opportunities for our students to work with young professionals not so much older than they are hugely beneficial for all involved.

“Many of our students took part in the workshops lead by NEW Sinfonia and got the opportunity to perform side by side with the young professionals in the world premiere of a work by Jon Guy, a truly inspiring experience for all involved. It was very clear in the meetings we have had that NEW Sinfonia make every effort to ensure that their activities are a positive experience for all involved. We look forward very much to further collaboration in the future.”

Dangerpoint Charity

We have had the pleasure of working with NEW Sinfonia for many years where they have joined us for our Christmas Concert and it is always an absolute joy to hear them perform. They are always so professional but they have such a friendly approach and put on a whole performance from the pieces they perform to the way in which they engage with the audience. The feedback we get from those who attend our concerts is always so positive and we were gutted we weren’t able to put on our concert in 2020 but we are definitely looking forward to working with the group again as soon as we can!

"Wales’ leading charity for disability arts. We break down barriers, so that disabled people are at the heart of our cultural scene.

It was really interesting and informative to work with NEW Sinfonia and to help support them with their 'Disabled Musicians Network' project. The group delivered strong Q&A online seminars and gave a platform for further development with their project."
