Our Projects

NEW Sinfonia’s programme brings diverse and innovative concerts to the North Wales classical music scene. We were honoured to perform at the Llangollen International Musical Festival for the first time this summer in a powerful concert of remembrance that brought together musicians from Bosnia and Ukraine. Our annual New Year Gala Concert has become a staple feature of Wrexham’s musical calendar, we bring large scale musical events to St Asaph with the NWIMF, and provide other bespoke musical performances throughout the year.
NEW Sinfonia delivers a vibrant programme across the whole musical spectrum. Their NEW Academi programme works in partnership with the Royal Northern College of Music to provide professional experiences for emerging young professionals.
Using music as a powerful tool for supporting health and wellbeing, NEW Sinfonia has taken music making to communities in schools and hospitals. Our residency at Wrexham Maelor Hospital supported by Tesni Homes, was a finalist in the ‘Arts & Small Business’ category with Arts & Business Cymru. Our annual education workshop run in partnership with the NWIMF has grown year on year, giving young people from across North Wales an opportunity to meet, make friends, make music and perform. For us, success means contributing to the heart and soul of people across the country, empowering people to pursue and achieve success on their own terms.
