About the Event

We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with the Royal Northen College of Music to provide emerging talent with the chance to conduct and play alongside our professional players whilst bringing high-quality performances to North Wales. This year we are bringing not one, but TWO concerts packed with iconic melodies and quintessential classics to Wrexham and St Asaph.

Experience the immensity of La Mer/The Sea by Debussy, and see the symphonic sketches unfolding live in concert. Journey deeper into the captivating world of impressionism with Ravel’s suite Ma Mere l’Oye and the more modern lilting poetry of Susan Spain-Dunk’s Lament for string. Alongside the music of these early-20th-century pioneers is the romantic composer Max Bruch’s ever-popular Violin Concert No.1. played by prodigy violinist Tako Tkabladze.
